ABOUT TRACEE:

I am Tracee Klehr and this is my third year at SWMetro as an Anicca Teacher in Chanhassen.

Teaching found me! I was a substitute teacher for a private school and that is when I realized I wanted to make a difference in children's lives and education. For me, teaching is more than reading and math. It is building relationships with my students by getting to know more about their day-to-day lives and it is also the students knowing I care for each of them. I hold them accountable for their own actions and I challenge them to work hard at everything they do.

I applied for and I am happy to announce I accepted the Technology Integration Specialist position in November 2020. I have always had a love of technology and now I get to teach technology - the best of both worlds. My vision of this position is to enrich and support teaching and learning while strengthening the technology skills of students, teachers and staff.

This is my 18th year teaching - my first 13 years were at Shakopee Area Catholic School (preschool; 3rd grade and 5th grade), 2 years were at Jordan Middle School (5th through 8th grade math) and the last 3 years at SWM. I received my bachelors degree from the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire; then received my masters degree from St Mary's University; and most recently, I received my principal licensure from the University of St Thomas.

My husband, Mike, and I were born and raised in Shakopee. We have 3 children: Matt (25), Mya (23) and Mason (19), and our 2 dogs, Copper and Jet. We love to travel, go to the cabin and work on projects around the house.

I am so excited to be the Technology Integrated Specialist and Anicca Teacher at SWM.
