e-Learning Enterprise Launches THIS FALL

e-Learning EnterpriseSouthWest Metro Intermediate District is working towards an updated version of the current ODINED online program (currently registered as Online Design and Instructional Network Education with the Minnesota Department of Education) which provides online education to students seeking their high school diplomas.

In addition to gathering data on student needs in SouthWest Metro Intermediate District's member and associate member districts, the SEE (SWMetro e-Learning Enterprise) Team is collaborating with teachers in those member districts to expand the current available curriculum. Students can pursue full-time academic status through distance learning, allowing them to earn their high school diploma online; take more robust or stimulating elective courses outside of their regular requirements; fulfill credit recovery due to any number of personal circumstances; or take Career and Technical Classes to get a head start on a chosen career path.

Families can keep their relationship with their current school district so there is no need to re-register with a different district. SouthWest Metro is simply providing the service and it will be at no cost to the students or families - even the Career and Tech classes!

SEE is a Minnesota-approved online learning provider of free public education to Minnesota students. Classes will start on Tuesday, September 7th; a schedule is currently in progress and may vary from the student's current school district.

SouthWest Metro encourages any student or family that would like more information on this flexible learning option to reach out so that their needs can be evaluated to help build the enterprise and serve the community.
