I was born and raised in Mankato, Minnesota and I have spent almost my entire life there. I worked many years at Westwood Marina Bar & Grill across the street from my parents' home on Lake Washington. Yes, I love the water =) Jet skiing is definitely my favorite water activity!
The only other place that I have lived was actually on and near the largest Naval base in the world in Norfolk, Virginia. For the past few years I have worked as a manager at my parents' business: an organic salon, spa, and lifestyle shop with an organic deli: INdiGOOrganic in Mankato.
My career ambition has taken me around the state as a Brand Ambassador for the Intelligent Nutrients hair and body care product line. I live an organic lifestyle, as a whole - from the foods I eat to the products that I use on a daily basis. I volunteer with the Miss America Organization and have served as a volunteer director of the Miss America's Outstanding Teen Program.
Most of my free time is spent entertaining or being entertained by my fur babies which consists of two dogs (one Husky and a 108 lb Husky mix) and two rescue cats. They also only eat organic! My dogs favorite treats are organic peas, carrots, and bananas.
I have grown up playing sports and following professional sports. You might see me at a Vikings game, Twins game, or a Timberwolves game. Besides my animals and sports, I LOVE to travel and have been fortunate enough to visit Amsterdam, Italy, and Greece. Please stop in to the office at River Valley Education Center and say hi! =)
