COVID-19 UpdatesDear SouthWest Metro Community,

We are reaching out to you today to assure you that while we are still trying to define the many details of how this upcoming school year will look, we are certain that we will not be participating in randomized COVID testing of our students while they are attending our programs.

SouthWest Metro will be checking temperatures of all individuals once per day upon entry to school and if an individual begins to show symptoms of illness.

Public Health generally may not conduct health screenings without parental consent in the state of Minnesota.

Students and staff are asked to stay home when they exhibit one or more of the following symptoms per the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention:
- Fever (100.4 or above) or chills
- Cough
- Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
- Fatigue
- Muscle or body aches
- Headache
- New loss of taste or smell
- Sore throat
- Congestion or runny nose
- Nausea or vomiting
- Diarrhea

If you have more questions or concerns regarding how SouthWest Metro plans to keep our students and staff safe during the Fall 2020 semester, please reach out to the program administrator or view our Frequently Asked Questions page.

Thank you for your continued support,
SOUTHWEST METRO INTERMEDIATE DISTRICT 288
