SWMHS & New Beginnings Acquire College Knowledge
SouthWest Metro High School and New Beginnings students participated in College Knowledge Month in October. This event is sponsored by MN Office Of Higher Education.
Students participated in the following activities:
• 3 college workshops for each homeroom
• College tours
• Career and college door decorating contest
• Free college application week
During Free College Application week, 17 students submitted one or more college applications.Students toured Normandale and Hennepin Technical College, completed college entrance exam (Accuplacer) and met with an advisor.
